On August 16, 2019, Prople employees huddled at Ynares Sports Arena for the Proplympics 2019, an annual team building event that aims to bond everyone through sports. The event kicked off with an opening remark from President Pardeep Bhalla followed by the BUs Chants. Support Team showed their talent and creativity by using eye-catching props that made them prevail over DMS (2nd place) and IFAS (3rd place).
The Team Building event started with the Amazing Race. HROS showed their coordination and teamwork resulting them in winning Career Mode award and the Most Coordinated team. The crowd roared while playing Tug of War in which both boys and girls of each BU participated. Human Caterpillar showed the unity of each BU by trying not to ruin the newspaper they were walking on. The Focus Ring game established coordination, leadership, team work and honest competition of each BU.
Despite a shaky start, the IFAS team came from behind to snatch the Overall Championship, while the Support team was awarded the Team Never Give Up by manifesting the eagerness to win in every game. The highlight of the event was the parade of the participating teams with their muses followed by the awarding ceremony. Princess Erica Evangelista from HROS strutted her way to the crown and took home the best muse award.
The sportsfest commenced with a series of badminton games. After showing familiarity with each other’s plays, badminton doubles Jay-R Manipol and Liza Benito smashed their way through the championship against the 12 teams in the preliminaries, and later on ultimately finished as champions. Liza Benito of the Light Blue team showed grit in the court garnering the games’ MVP.
In the volleyball game, Jake Vincent Sibayan led the Light Blue team as they spiked hard against a struggling Dark Blue team winning 2-0 in a dominating fashion. Black Team harbored over the White Team in the basketball game. The Richard Ibea-led squad from the beginning scorched through the court not losing the lead from the moment the ball was played. The event concluded with a Same Day Edit video from our videographers.
